I'm interested in a server for Mount and Blade: Warband, similar to Styo.

What are the expected rates from now~, and are there any deals I should be aware of?

50 cents a slot looks to be about right.  I believe once it's released and more features are added this could change, especially with massive Bot battles.  I have never raised my prices on a customer though so if you buy at 50 cents that's what you'll pay until it's canceled.
The only special is if you pay Quarterly you save 20% .

Do you have any guarantees ping-wise? What are your servers like in comparison to others?

Edit: Are there any activation/extraneous fees? Anything other than $0.50 per slot per month?

No there are no hidden fees of any type.  I hate hidden fees as much as anyone.
As for guarantees if you are not happy with the server and paying monthly, just ask for a pro-rated refund.
Whatever time is left in the month you'll be fully refunded for.  This policy shows that we care about having great performance and up time, all the time!  This refund policy is unheard of to my knowledge in the game server world, many only give you 3 or 5 days to ask for a refund, then for the rest of the time you are at their mercy.  We can do this because our customers rarely ask for refunds, they stay with us. 
All of our servers run on commercial class hardware and have a guaranteed 20% overhead free(This is also very rare and I don't know of any other companies that do this).

That I can agree with. I bought a Vent server, and it didn't function 100%. They refused to give me a refund. Glad to know you guys have that policy.

I thought up some more questions while I was asleep

What is the policy towards ads on the server?

Could I accept donations for it? (By this I mean can I make incentives to donate, such as rewarding donations)

When does the billing cycle start, or is it defined by the purchase date? (If it's monthly at the first, then I'd have to pay twice in 2 days if I bought it today)

Also- Does the pro rated refund apply to the quarterly discount?

Pro rated refund on the quarterly is handled quite differently, as you're saving 20% which I'm able to do hoping you'll keep it the entire time

What happens is there is a pro-rated for the rest of the time remaining minus a 25% fee.
Quarterly payments with the 20% discount was designed for either those needing to save money, or a thank you to customers who trust in us . 

Ads and donations are totally up to you, it's your server

Billing normally starts on the day you order the server.  Order it on the 20th, you'll pay on the 20th of each month unless it's quarterly in which you'll pay on the 20th of every 3 months.
