murmur.ini

Im trying to set up my murmur server.  Im stuck on the editing of my murmur.ini welcomtext through TC admin control panel.    Example:

I would like this:
Welcome to xyz server! 

- instruction 1 

- instruction 2

When copied and pasted using TC admin control panel it becomes this:

Welcome to xyz server!  instruction 1 instruction 2

Is there a way to have multiple lines for the "welcometext" of the murmur.ini??  If I copy and paste a series of lines it results in a long string of text, and not distinct individual text entries.

Additionally, I tried accessing the murmur.ini on my server directly using an FTP client (per the email) and I was not allowed.
